I didn't get the supplies for their Unity Sand Ceremony until right before the start, so I had to hustle getting the 4 individual sand colors poured into the vases; there to represent the Bride, Groom, and her two teen children, now combining together to form one new family unit.
The wedding party looked resplendent in their cobalt blue dresses or accessories (even the bridal dog ring bearer had a blue leash to match) as they descended the stairs to the beach. Of course, Rev. Des also had on a cobalt blue scarf to match the wedding. Bride Y. was given away by her Father to Groom T. with a handshake for the groom and a kiss for the bride; very sweet.
Weddings with Aloha provided the mini PA system so the 40 guests we able to hear the ceremony over the sound of the waves--many people wanting a beach wedding do not realize how loud the waves are, which can mask the wedding's words being said! We rent this PA system for a nominal fee for such an occasion.
I have to give kudos to the Men of this wedding, they arrived on time, remembered where to stand on the sand, they stood tall and looked great, holding down the wedding party formation. Let's hear it for the Boys!
All in all, this couple of 10 years had a personalized ceremony and a joyous event at a gorgeous location. Congratulations!
